EORI Hires New Director
The Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute (EORI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Lon Whitman as the new Director effective May 1, 2022. Mr. Whitman has worked for over 10 years at the Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute and brings a wealth of experience to his new role. As EORI’s Director, Lon will bring his collaborative leadership style, commitment to accountability, and Wyoming partnerships to his new role along with a unified vision for the Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute to help increase production through improved and enhanced oil recovery operations.
Mr. Whitman has a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming and over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. His professional career includes both offshore and onshore experience in reservoir engineering and business development. He has an extensive background in enhanced oil recovery principles and technologies and worked for nearly 10 years as a private consultant in EOR and IOR projects in Wyoming, Texas and North Dakota. Lon also has professional experience in environmental due diligence as a consultant for oil and gas acquisitions and divestitures.
Ken Hendricks, Chairman of the Enhanced Oil Recovery Commission states “The EORC is extremely pleased that Lon Whitman has agreed to become the Director of the Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute.
