Remembering U.S. Senator Mike Enzi

“The Wyoming Energy Authority is very saddened to learn of the passing of former U.S. Senator Mike Enzi. During his four terms in the Senate and 10 years in the Wyoming legislature, Sen. Enzi dedicated his life to public service and was a tireless advocate of Wyoming and its citizens. A longtime resident of the city of Gillette, Sen. Enzi was a steadfast supporter of Wyoming’s coal industry – working ceaselessly to keep our state’s energy economy at the forefront of the national stage. In his retirement speech in late 2020, Sen. Enzi summed up his career simply: ‘I love solving problems for folks in Wyoming and America.’ He will be deeply missed.”
