Wyoming Energy Authority Board Elects New Leadership
Cheyenne, WY – The Wyoming Energy Authority has elected new leadership on their Board of Directors.
Paul Ulrich, Jonah Energy, is the Board Chairman. Wendy Hutchinson, Weston Strategic LLC, is the Vice Chairman and Wanda Burget, Accord Resource Solutions, is the Secretary.
Mark Stege, VP of Operations for Black Hills Energy, is stepping down as the Board Chairman but will continue to serve on the Board of Directors over the rest of his term. Stege was the Board Chairman for the Wyoming Infrastructure Authority and led the Energy Authority Board through the merger of the Wyoming Infrastructure Authority, Wyoming Pipeline Authority, and State Energy Office.
“It has been a privilege to serve as Chairman this last year. Bringing multiple organizations together to create Wyoming’s first one-stop-shop for energy was incredibly exciting. I’m thrilled about where we are and look forward to the great things to come from WEA,” said Stege.
“I’d like to thank Mark and the rest of the Board for their tireless hard work over the last year. Wyoming’s energy industry is faced with large challenges but tremendous opportunities and I’m eager to keep WEA at the forefront of these efforts,” said Ulrich.
The WEA is tasked by Governor Gordon and the Wyoming legislature to develop, administer and communicate the Wyoming Energy Strategy. Priorities include diversifying and expanding Wyoming’s energy economy and facilitating Wyoming’s permitting, production, development and transmission of energy. Board members are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate.
The Board meets monthly on the second Thursday of each month. Meeting notices can be found here: https://www.wyoenergy.org/news/#upcoming-meetings
